quirky gem near canary wharf
unique decor espresso maker blackout curtains privacy sheers
The hotel had unique decor. there were all kinds of curiosities to look at during check-in. the rooms each had a theme based on an author. I stayed in the superior double room. the room included an espresso maker with caffeinated and decaf pods. blackout curtains worked well, and privacy sheers allowed light during the day.
The dlr was noisier than i expected. The trains run late into the evening and start early in the morning.

The rooms featured unique author themes. My superior double room was well-equipped. it had modern amenities and effective blackout curtains. there were also nice touches like quality tea, espresso, and modernized bathrooms with spacious showers.

the staff was friendly and helpful, especially at reception. they quickly addressed a minor issue i had. the turkish bath service was also relaxing, the service provider was professional and skilled.

a unique experience!
beautiful room coffee machine hammam
the beautiful room was amazing! i loved the bath robes and slippers provided. it was nice to have a coffee machine and a fridge and mini bar too. the spa and hammam were fabulous, i used them a couple of times.
the breakfast offered lots of options, but it wasn't always hot. this was disappointing considering the price.

the room was very very comfy and tidy. i appreciated the jane austen theme. breakfast included many delicious options.
the main areas were not especially comfortable for extended sitting due to bright lighting.

stylish upgrade lovely staff canal basin
i thought the building was stylish after its upgrade. i liked each room had a story, from mary seacole to george orwell. the staff were lovely to. it was good i was situated between canary wharf and the city.

fresh fruits english breakfast room variety
i stayed in a uniquely decorated suite. i especially liked the variety of teas and coffee available in the room. the breakfast impressed me with its vast selection, including fresh fruits and a full english breakfast.
the hallway doors lacked proper soundproofing, i heard hall noises.

The author-themed décor was special. The cleanliness throughout the hotel impressed me greatly, every surface sparkled and shined. The location near the DLR made getting around so easy. I liked the variety offered at breakfast, it was a wonderful way to start the day.
The minibar had limited complimentary items beyond water, tea and coffee. I expected more.
